Have you ever experienced this? Morning exam blues! What, when you have burnt the midnight oil studying hard for your Math midterms, but when you sit in front of your laptop to attempt the question paper-whoa! You go blank-your palms are sweaty, and you are highly anxious-on the edge, not knowing what is in store for you?

Exam anxiety and stress is ‘performance anxiety’, and is very debilitating, racing thoughts, lack of concentration, feeling of nausea, or a fast heartbeat, it has the power to weaken months of hard work.

So, now some tips to keep the anxiety and stress at bay———-

·      B+

·      REVISE, REVISE AND REVISE!

·      Get a good nights’ sleep.

·      Eat a nutritious meal before any test or an exam.

·      Reach the exam venue well before time.

·      Or, if attempting an online exam-CHECK your network connection and Settings.

·      Keep your stationery in place.

·      Start on TIME!

·      Read the question paper carefully and thoroughly, preferably twice.

·       If permitted, sip some water during the test or the exam.

Lastly, how to support test-anxious students? Might the student be better served by targeting the factors that lead to a high test-anxious and stress response in the first place or be counselled in improving study and test-taking skills leading to an enhanced self-concept…..
